OUR HORSES

GINGER

Ginger is a ten year old Red Dun Quarter Horse.  She was given to us by a family who could no longer care for her.  We have been training and using her in our program for the past three years.

JOJO

Jo Jo is a 24 year old Bay Paint.   He was a rescue horse.  When we first brought him home, he was nothing but skin and bones.  We weren’t even sure he was going to survive, but as he gained weight and became healthy, we saw that special quality in him and knew that he would be perfect!

CHANCE

Chance is a 16 year old Palomino Quarter horse.  Also a rescue horse, he had been used to give lessons to children for many years.  Once he was trained in therapeutic riding he too displayed the gentle nature required for these special children. 

CHEWY

Chewy is a four year old black and white Paint miniature horse.  He is also a rescue horse.  We have trained him to drive a small cart.  We use him for children who are unable to straddle a horse or sit up in the saddle.  The kids love holding the driving lines and guiding the cart.

ARIEL

Ariel is a three year old miniature donkey.  She is very special in that she is all white with blue eyes, a rare combination.  Ariel loves to be touched and to interact with the children.
